Anti-corruption: Group expresses confidence in Buhari

A political pressure group, Aliyu Magatakarda Advocacy Group (AMAG), has expressed confidence in President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to achieve success in its ongoing fight against corruption.

Secretary of the group, Alhaji Abubakar Yabo, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto on Friday that AMAG was convinced that the administration was committed to reducing corruption rate in the country.
He said that by current activities, the government had raised the hope of Nigerians of better things to come “and enhanced dividends of democracy”.

Yabo said that corruption had been the major factor militating against the nation’s socio-economic and political growth.
He called on Nigerians to support the government by helping to expose corrupt public officers.
He appealed to the Federal Government to accord priority to security to enable Nigerians go about their legitimate businesses without fear.
According to him, a peaceful environment will also pave way for foreign investors to come and invest in the country's abundant resources.
