Ginang Alaska moms and their good breakfast food

In Benguet's La Trinidad town near Baguio City, Ginang Alaska winner Rochelle Bulahao, 32, took home every major title in the contest including "best in cooking" honor.
"Ginagamit ko ang Alaska Evaporated Filled Milk kasi mayroon akong canteen business, at alam ko sa sarili ko na kaya ko dahil may ipapakita ako sa kanila," Bulahao said, describing her winning breakfast dish.
She described her original Scotch Egg with Alaska Evaporated Filled Milk a "complete meal" which substitutes the Scotch whiskey with Alaska Evap. Upon taking a bite and seeing the different techniques Bulahao used to whip it up, judges were immediately impressed.

Joining Ginang Alaska was similarly more than a joining a pageant for Lapu-Lapu City winner Emilia Encabo Hann.
"This challenges me, the cooking thing, and I wanna show to the mothers that other than the cooking we can do something like this," Hann told Philstar.com.

During the cooking competition, Hann prepared an omelette with rice. She said that the recipe was her husband and daughter's favorite.
Hann decided to mix Alaska Evaporated Filled Milk, kidney beans and rice in the omelette as her husband, a foreigner, is not fond of eating rice separately.
Among 11 Ginangs in Cagayan de Oro City who cooked their hearts out to impress the judges' palate, Joan Amano's Okra Omelette with Alaska Evaporated Filled Milk stood out.
Amano said she chose to experiment with egg because it's her children’s favorite.
"Paborito kasi nila 'yun, pero para maiba naman, nilagyanko ng okra, kasi nutritious siya. Mahirap pakainin ng gulay ang mga bata pero 'pag hinaluan mo ng gatas at itlog, magugustuhan nila."
The cooking competition also featured unique dishes like the vegetable yemausing Alaska Sweetend Condensed Milk of Ginang Alaska 2nd Runner-Up, Jennifer Esclamado.
