Juventus and Leicester city have been revealed as the highest earnings club in the Champions League last season. Max Allegri's side pocketed £98.9million from a combination of TV and prize money despite being beaten 4-1 in the final by Real Madrid who they earned £26million more than.
Los Blancos didn't even earn the second highest amount, that honour goes to Last season's surprise package Leicester City who took home £500,000 more than the Santiago Bernabeu side despite being knocked out in the quarter-final stage.
Swiss side FC Basel took the lowest share of all 32 teams who made the group stages of the competition, earning just £14,566,041. Each club received a participation bonus of £11,373,485 as well as a team performance bonus (how many games they won etc.).
£5,372,460 was given to the clubs who made it into the last 16, £5,820,165 to the quarter-finalists, £6,715,837 to the semi-finalists, £9,850,170 to the runners up and £13,878,855 to the winners.
